The Cave and the Comedy of Errors is a SpongeBob Fanon Wiki spinoff series starring SpongeBob, Patrick, Squidward, and their caveman counterparts. The show was created by SquidLIVE Productions and premiered online on April 14th, 2017. The show earned it's "G" rating due to it's light-hearted themes and positive morals.

Plot

Sandy builds a time machine and calls SpongeBob, Patrick, and Squidward over to experiment. Using part of their DNA, she manages to bring their counterparts, SpongeGar, Patar, and Squog, into their time period. When Sandy finds out that SpongeBob and Patrick are using the cavemen to (unintentionally) wreak havoc in Bikini Bottom, though, she sends all of them (including Squidward) into the future as a punishment for misusing the time machine.

When they get to the future, they find that Sandy's treedome is gone and is replaced with "the very last cave in Bikini Bottom" (Telling us that Sandy's treedome was eventually caved in.) When they try to leave the cave, however, they are stopped by chrome police tape.

Present-day Sandy (as a hologram) tells the gang that due to thier actions, they were sent to the year 4017. She also tells them that they have to spend a year in the cave without anything being destroyed in order to go back to present day.

So the rambunctious cavemen, the child-like SpongeBob and Patrick, and the more civilized Squidward must learn to cooperate with each other and make sure nothing is broken in order to go back to their time periods
